Why test the level of their language proficiency when recruiting?

Expanding to international markets forces companies to recruit candidates with knowledge of at least one foreign language. Ensuring the right choice means having candidates take a test to determine the level of their language at the time of recruitment.

To give you an idea of the importance of language level test, Easyrecrue recently conducted a study of 200 human resource managers and decision-makers in French companies. 

According to this survey, only 28% carry out an effective evaluation of their candidates via specific tests. Only 27% of those tests were based on the language levels mentions on their diplomas or CVs.

However, Easyrecrue revealed that more than half of the candidates with an insufficient level in a foreign language impeded a project’s operation.
